Now for all intents and purposes, it appears that you still have a Music folder in your home folder, but it is quite transparently pointing to the real location. The CPU meter shows the the load of the most heavily loaded core, which would be the one dealing with the monitoring at the low buffer size. Do NOT press enterĤc) type "~/Music" (again, without the quotes) The button still says Start Virtual Camera (it should change to Stop Virtual. Do NOT press enterĤb) Drag the newly created Music folder from the external drive onto Terminal. Hi, last week Ive installed last version of OBS on my Mac (macOS Big Sur). Depending on the size of the folder and the speed of the drive that may take a little while (but since we are talking about SSD it should not be very long).ģ) When the copy is finished, delete the original Music folder Ĥa) Type "ln -s " (without the quotes but with the trailing space!). To make things more organized, we are putting the Music folder inside a "MyStuff" folder in "MyDrive".ġ) Create the "MyStuff" folder inside "MyDrive"Ģ) Drag the Music folder to "MyStuff" to copy it. (Optimism alert!) Here's hoping MacOS Monterey turns out to be a far more congenial platform for our creative work and enjoyment.First of all, make sure to have an up to date backup.įor the purpose of this example, let's assume you are doing this with the Music folder, and that you are using an external drive called "MyDrive". Omnisphere supports Wacom tablet/pen devices and Windows Multitouch / Microsoft Surface devices, including 2-finger scrolling for browsers, 2-finger tapping for buttons, and 1-finger press+hold for right-click action (context menus).

I'm advocating this approach so that users may avoid a possible risk of creative block lasting for, well, who knows how long? I'm much happier and more relaxed being able to dual-boot, not only because I can go back to High Sierra easily and get on with my work there, but also because I don't feel trapped in Big Sur - I can limit my time in there to small doses. I'm certainly not suggesting this is necessary in case VSL software misbehaves in Big Sur I've not found any evidence indicating it might. (Remember when and why Macs were easily and by far the favoured choice of creatives? Man, I miss Steve Jobs.)īy all means upgrade now but as Paul recommends, I too suggest upgrading into a partition (or external bootable drive), ensuring you can easily dual-boot between Big Sur and your current MacOS build. It's hard to foresee myself doing anything creative in Big Sur any time soon - the muse just does not pay visits in those kinds of circumstances. So far I've found that VSL's software is behaving perfectly normally in Big Sur it's other aspects of this MacOS that lead me to getting annoyed, nervous and uncomfortable.
